Community Involvement
DeFont Family Dental opened in 2016, and since then, we’ve emphasized giving back to Sonora’s local charities and deserving organizations through sponsoring multiple sports teams, local events, and volunteering.
We sponsor several teams at Sonora’s Standard Park Sports Complex, including West Side Little League, Tuolumne County youth soccer, and the Sierra United Club soccer team. Our team also supports the Bach Music Festival and donates to MLAJA school fundraisers, like the Mother Lode Adventist Junior Academy and Mother Lode Christian School Jog-a-thon.
Through the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s Give Back a Smile event, our practice is proud to help victims of domestic violence by restoring their smiles from injuries during those abusive relationships. In addition to Give Back a Smile, we also participate in the American Dental Association’s Give Kids a Smile event and Life Hope Clinic initiatives.

At DeFont Family Dental, we have a variety of preventative, restorative, and cosmetic dental services in one convenient location, including regular checkups, Invisalign, smile makeovers, dental implants, dentures, sedation dentistry, emergency dental services, and more. We are not in-network with any dental insurance providers. However, our team still bills on behalf of our patients (as long as it is a PPO and not an HMO or Medi-Cal insurance). You can also save on your dental care when joining our dental membership plan, which includes preventative care and discounts on our other services.
