Sonya's Story

Sonya's smile transformation

"I came to Dr. DeFont, not knowing what to expect. Everything is very down key. There was no pain. It was amazing, I was awake during it but I didn't care. I have issues with anesthesia, but the sedation didn't make me ill at all. I'm smiling more, I'm showing my teeth. I'm out there and doing more. Thanks so much, you've changed my life." ‑Sonya

Shahn's Story

Shahn's smile transformation

"I went through the oral sedation to have my restoration done. I had twenty-one teeth pulled during my procedure. I was really nervous and despite my misgivings, I felt no pain whatsoever and am glad I had it done." ‑Shahn

Kathy's Story

Kathy's smile transformation

Kathy had used a partial denture for many years but it never fit very well. She struggled being able to eat properly and it never looked very good having denture teeth next to her natural teeth that had decayed or had discolored fillings. She decided that she wanted to invest in her health and improve her smile by removing the teeth that had been breaking down and restoring the ones that she wanted to keep healthy. Through a combination of full and partial dentures, Kathy can now eat a wider variety of foods and is really enjoying showing off her beautiful new smile!

Sally's Story

Sally's smile transformation

Sally had dealt with tooth problems most of her life and had decided that she wanted to have the best treatment possible for her - implant denture prosthesis. The process is sometimes called the "Teeth in a Day" procedure because in the same day her bad teeth were removed, she left the office with a new denture prosthesis screwed into the implants. Sally never has to take them out because they are securely fastened to her implants! She treats them like normal teeth and brushes them every day to keep them nice and clean. This is one of the highest standards of care when it comes to replacing teeth because of the high esthetics that can be achieved, not having to remove them or worry about them accidentally coming out and also that they feel the most like having natural teeth again.

Ted's smile transformation

Ted's Story

Ted had decided it was finally time to restore his missing and broken teeth and now has a great new smile that makes him look like a younger man!

Walt's smile transformation

Walt's Story

Walt wanted to repair the years of damage to his chipped front teeth but he didn't want a bright white Hollywood makeover. Instead his teeth were restored with life-like crowns that matched the color of his existing teeth without anyone knowing he had cosmetic dentistry.

Implant Dentures

Implant Dentures

Do you wear dentures or have a mouthful of missing or failing teeth? Cosmetic dentures are not attached to anything and simply rest on the gums. Fortunately, dentures can be attached to implants to help improve their fit and greatly increase chewing ability. As an added benefit, the implants prevent the steady bone loss caused by cosmetic dentures.

Sedation Dentistry

Sedation Dentistry

Sedation dentistry is an excellent treatment for patients with extensive dental needs, or who are concerned about anxiety, difficulty getting numb, or sensitive teeth. Nitrous oxide inhalation may be used in conjunction with the sedatives to enhance the therapeutic effect. Due to the relaxing effects of the medication, patients must have a friend or family member bring them to and from the dental office.

Smile Makeovers

Smile Makeovers

Cosmetic dentistry is one of the most cost-effective ways to improve your appearance. A beautiful, bright, healthy smile can increase self confidence and overall life satisfaction. Cosmetic dentistry can encompass things such as tooth-colored fillings, dental implants, or crowns.

We have many options, so please call us for a free cosmetic consultation.

Smile Whitening

Many everyday things like coffee, tea and wine can significantly dull teeth. Smile-whitening enables us to significantly brighten your smile for that dazzling white smile you deserve.

Plastic whitening trays will be made from models of your teeth. You will then place a special whitening gel in each tray and wear the trays in your mouth for several hours per day. (Many patients wear their trays after dinner and before bed.) A significant change in tooth color is usually seen in just four to six weeks.

Implant Dentistry
Implant Dentistry

Dental implants are a great option for replacing missing teeth, improving chewing ability, eliminating bridges, and replacing dentures. Several implants may provide a base for a series of artificial teeth known as a fixed bridge. Implants can even be used to secure a full set of removable dentures for people who have no natural teeth.

Mercury-Free Restorations
Mercury Free

The common silver filling contains mercury. Dr. Defont uses the highest-quality biocompatible, tooth-colored restorations to create healthy, beautiful smiles. Since the composite material adheres directly to the tooth enamel, less preparation of the tooth is required before using it. This means it is more durable and provides a more natural-looking result.

Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are very thin porcelain pieces that are custom made to adhere directly to the front of teeth without grinding or shaving. Transform your smile without drilling on your natural teeth!

In the hands of a highly skilled dentist, porcelain veneers can provide you with an incredibly natural, beautiful smile. They are virtually undetectable and can dramatically improve your appearance. They are durable and long-lasting when compared to other cosmetic treatments.

Preventive Care
Preventive Care

By actively preventing disease and decay through regular home care, professional dental cleanings and regular exams, you will maintain a healthy, beautiful smile for life.

Porcelain Crowns & Bridges
Crowns & Bridges

Protect and keep badly decayed or fractured teeth while maintaining a beautiful smile. Made to perfectly match the shape and shade of your other teeth, they’re durable, strong, and undetectable.

Crowns should be placed before the tooth is so decayed that it may fracture. This can often help prevent the expense of root canal therapy in the future. If a tooth is too damaged to have a crown applied, a porcelain bridge may be a good alternative.

Periodontal Therapy
Periodontal Therapy

Gum disease is treated by carefully removing the bacteria and substances that form in the pockets around the teeth. The removal of this material occurs on a microscopic level and requires great skill. Our dental team has had advanced training to effectively remove all of the bacteria.
